This is perhaps the nicest '63 you'll ever see. Seven years in the making, the beautiful piece of work was completed in November 2005.
Mechanicals include a 350 engine and trans, A/C, power disc brakes, tilt wheel, and power steering. Color is a stock Chevy metallic green used on a 99' Suburban and a light tan from an 86 Caprice. Color coordinated interior and color matching Rally wheels were added.
Body mods include shaved drip rail on roof, welded and smoothed bed seams, smoothed tailgate, latches and chains removed, latches installed in bed and filled bed stake pockets.
Interior includes a chrome instrument panel bezel, tilt steering wheel, full door panels that flow into the kick panels and a custom headliner, to mention a few.
Pete has also installed oil pressure and voltmeter gauges into the original instrument cluster in place of the idiot lights and it looks like it was factory.
The next up grade will be a 700R4 transmission with lock-up converter which should be done by May 07.
